About Me

About Me

Hi, I’m Jose Paul — a Lead/Staff Product Designer with 12+ years of experience designing enterprise SaaS, AI-driven, cloud, web, and mobile products. I specialize in building scalable, user-centered experiences for complex workflows, with strong expertise in product strategy, UX systems, and cross-functional collaboration.

Currently at Extreme Networks, I’m leading design initiatives focused on AI-powered network operations, automation, observability, and enterprise workflows. Previously at nOps, I worked on cloud cost optimization and FinOps platforms, designing data-rich dashboards, operational tools, and scalable design systems that improved usability and business outcomes.

Over the years, I’ve launched multiple products from concept to scale, led and mentored design teams, and collaborated closely with Product, Engineering, and leadership stakeholders to deliver impactful user experiences.

I’m passionate about solving complex problems through simple, intuitive, and high-performing design solutions that balance user needs with business goals.

Keeping the Design System Updated

At nOps, I maintained and evolved the design system to ensure UI consistency and scalability across the platform. I regularly audited components, documented usage guidelines, and collaborated with engineers to align on design tokens and implementation. This streamlined our design-to-dev handoff and improved team efficiency.

City Block Builder

City Block Builder is a 1950s-themed city-building and business management game where players design and manage an entire city block in Los Angeles. From customizing cinemas and restaurants to handling staff and research upgrades, it blends creativity with deep simulation mechanics. Though rich in concept and retro charm, the game remains in early access with limited content and slow updates, leaving much of its potential yet to be realized.
